Welcome To Stanford's AI Town:  Meet It's AI Citizens.

Researchers at Stanford have built a Stanford’s simulated town with different AI characters using generative artificial intelligence

The Stanford’s simulated town is extensively described in their recent research paper “Generative Agents: Interactive Simulacra of Human Behaviour,”

These AI characters have their unique identities, behaviours and memories.

This simulation has been compared to an advance version of life simulation video game “The Sims” and the HBO sci-fi series “Westworld”.

In Stanford’s simulated town, AI characters behave like real people, remembering their interactions with others, their past experiences,

like what others have said to them and also how they relate to the world around them until they are reset to their daily responsibilities.

Stanford’s simulated town came preloaded with 25 different characters, referred to as “generative agents”.

Each of these “generative agents” have their own identity (Name, Occupation, Priorities).  They also have the knowledge of relationships to other characters, and daily routines.
